FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions I hear most often from new clients.
- Is the initial consultation truly complimentary?
Yes. The initial phone consultation is completely complimentary and carries no obligation. During our call, we will discuss your situation, I will answer your questions, and propose next steps. You will only decide whether to move forward with representation after the consultation.
- How should I prepare for the first consultation?
To make our conversation as effective as possible, please prepare all documents related to your case and a brief timeline of events. If your matter concerns immigration, have your passport and previous correspondence with the authorities ready. However, do not worry if anything is missing – during our meeting, we will establish a list of necessary steps.
- Do you assist clients living outside of New York?
Yes. For federal matters (such as immigration law), I assist clients from across the United States as well as individuals residing in Poland. Through online consultations via Zoom, Skype, or phone, distance is not an obstacle to providing professional legal representation for your case.
- How long will it take to resolve my case?
The duration depends on the complexity of the matter and the processing times of agencies or courts. During our first consultation, after reviewing the facts, I will provide you with a realistic timeframe and potential scenarios so you know exactly what to expect.
